2012-13 ROXBOROUGH RESOURCE GUIDE

OUR VISION
“The Roxborough Development Corporation is a community-driven organization dedicated to provide a safe, clean environment, quality shopping, recreational and entertainment experience”.
HISTORY
The first Swede to come to Manatawney, a native American trail leading to Barren Hill, was Peter Lindstrom, in 1656. In 1680, the Court of Upland in England appointed Peter Rambo (a local Swede) to be in charge of maintaining the Manatawana. William Penn visited the area in 1682 and was amazed at how well organized the plantations in Manatawana were. The name was changed in 1690 to Roxburgh and incorporated in 1707 as Roxborough”.
